MOSQUITOES CARRY WEST NILE VIRUS…
A few quick reminders to help keep the mosquito population down…. We only need enough mosquitoes to feed our bat population.
- Turn over children’s wading pools when not in use.
- Drill holes in the bottom of your recycling and trash containers that are left outdoors.
- Discard old tires.
- Change bird bath water twice a week
- Don’t rake leaves and other yard debris into the gutter or storm drains.
- Cover window wells and keep them free of debris.
- Keep roof gutters free of leaves and debris.
- Aerate ornamental ponds or stock with mosquito-eating fish.
- Keep pools clean and chlorinated.
Mosquito eggs develop in any standing water that lasts more than 5-7 days. To reduce the mosquito population around your home, eliminate all standing water and debris and keep weeds trimmed back.
SELLING YOUR PROPERTY?
If you are selling your property one of the things you’ll need at closing is a letter stating whether your dues are current or not. Your letter will indicate the status of your dues at the time of closing. Please contact Virginia Shanholtz (815-653-6661) or Sue Keller (815-653-9450), or by email, at least two weeks prior to your closing.

SAVE BY USING EMAIL
When we communicate by email we save a lot of money on stamps, printing and paper (trees). If you’re interested in receiving INVOICES or other communications, by email, please include your email address with your dues payment. Pinch a penny, save a dime.
Please update your mailing address, P.O. Box and phone numbers as well.
In an attempt to save money and with increasing postal rates all future newsletters will be available on our website: www.wonderviewhoa.org. If you don’t have a computer let us know and we’ll mail yours.

OTHER RECORDED PROPERTY CHANGES
If you’ve combined your lots into one PIN number please let us know by mail (PO Box 4, Wonder Lake, IL 60097), by email, or by calling Virginia or Sue. Our recordkeeping is only as good as the information we receive. Your correct PIN number will be on your tax bill. Combining your lots will not affect, or change, your association dues. Your dues are based on the number of lots you own.
A LITTLE KNOWN FACT…..
The association dues, assessed on your property, are as collectible as your real estate taxes

Reminder, our Community house is available to rent at a nominal cost. Try us for your varied events……baby showers, wedding showers, family gatherings, garage sales, etc. As long as their dues are up to date homeowners of Wonderview Unit #1 can rent the community house at a reduced cost.
